TED Talk
we didn't find anything on TED TALKS but I did further research my topic and the link you sent me did come in handy with locations that offer safe sex conferences and std testing. On the link it shows many events about AIDS awareness being that it is national AIDS awareness month. JUNE. I plan on attending the AIDS Education Month Community Cookout on saturday.
Be the change
the service learning project I plan on doing is a safe sex campaign that will inform and get students interactive with be involved with safe sex acts. I think at the end of the year We would make a video that informs teens the consequences of unsafe sex and the best ways to avoid those situations. I will work in a group with CharNique Johnson, Laborah Myles, Chelsea Napper, and Asia Sims. I feel strongly about doing this project because i feel as if sex isn't something we are getting taught about in classes in school. Sex is an everyday act and the only way to prevent epidemics like teen pregnancies, teen abortions and STD outrage then we as the next in line to start this act have to know everything we can about the topic.

QUOTE
"An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity" -Martin Luther King.
I take this quote as he is trying to say that a person cannot live his live abiding by the rules that he must take care of himself and forget the rest of the world and that one has not lived the full experience of life until they have helped the world.

Top city schools' criteria in flux?
I think this policy is not a good idea because this oppress' the people that actually have the test scores to get in to a good school. If they go through with this policy then the people that actually work for it wont be able to get to the school that they deserve.
