Al Capone was born January 17,1899 in brooklyn,New York.He grew up in a rough nieghborhood and took part of two "kid" gangs":"Brooklyn Rippers" "The Forty Thieves Juniors".He quit school in the 6th grade at the age of fourteen. Al Capone's apprentice was Frankie Yale and he worked as a bouncer at Franke's nightclub at that job thats when he recieved he world known scars that gave him the nickname of "Scarface".He later met his soon to be wife Mea Coughlin.It wasafter their first baby was born that they got married.Albert "Sunny" Francis Capone was born Decmber 4,1918.cAPONE went into hiding for three months in the summer reputedly some 300 detectives looked for him all over the country. 

The article was helpful to my research because it showed me how his life was and how he gained power in the gang life.The web site was a secondary source because it was a story about Al Capone and it wasn't told by him .I believe that the intended audience of the document was for teens-adults.I believe this because it has many different conflicts of  his life. 

who I'm choosing for my NHD project

I am choosing Al Capone because I find him interesting and the thing he accomplished in his life and the way he changed the gang history from  .I see a lot of young men find that they look up to scarface in the movies but they dont know scarface is based on Al Capone's life.Without this historical figure gang life would not be as it is now; he has opened many doors for gangbangers Al Capone has faught many cities and has won the battles because he intimidated so many citizens not to testify against him. What is service learning ?

I think service learning is when a person does community service and learns from that experience.Community service fills a need in the community through volunteer efforts. Service-learning also fills that need, but it uses that need as a foundation to examine ourselves,society, and our future.Service-learning provides students with opportunities to use new acquired skills and knowledge in reality situations.What i will want to do to help the school is commit to being and advanced student help fellow peers with their problems including my own.

Election 2008 and health care

Barack Obama believes that the isssue on health care is important and he will provide health care for people that cant't afford it.John McCain believes health care tax credit to help people pay for private or employer-based insurance which really doesnt take care of the whole health care issue much because people are still going to have to pay for it anyways. The issue of health care has climbed to the spot of number two most major issue in the 2008 canidate election.It come right after the issue of the war in Iraq. Both canindates believe that health care should be a requirment but McCain believes their should be a price,which makes sense but not everyone can afford it,Barack Obama is just looking out for the people that cant afford it like for instance the people that already have debt.Obama's beliefs on the issue for health care is the reason I would vote for him if i were able to.

In Ten Years,I Will Be...

The reason i choose Constitution high school over any other high school is because i have heard a lot of good things about what this school has achieved over the 3 years it has been opened.I always like to be the oddball in my group and so i was when I choose Constitution high. It was only me and a couple people from my school that choose this school over any other school. I started to fell as if i choose the wrong high school after everyone told me hat they had never heard of this school. But from these past 3 days that I have been in Constitution high it has been a great experience.If I would have went to the same school that all of my friends were going to then I really wouldnt be expanding my horizons or better yet meeting a lot of new people.Another reason i chose Constitution high over the others is because it has many prestigious partners like for instance bahlard sparr or the constituion center and I would like to be part of the many adventures that a new school goes through.
